Los Monteros is situated about 15 minutes from Marbella town center, only 30
minutes from Málaga’s international airport and can easily be found as it is the
same exit as the Costa del Sol Hospital.
In this vast area there are both seaside and mountain side developments
separated by the coastal motorway.
Directions from Malaga Airport:
Take: Avenida del Comandante Garcia Morat for 1.2km
Turn right onto: Avenida de Velazquez / N-340 for 2.8km
Take: Autopista del Mediterraneo / A-7 / E-15 for 16km
Take: AP-7 / E-15 for 13km and exit towards: Exit 200, Calahonda for 3km
Turn right onto: A-7 / E-15 for 16km
Unrecognisable from 20 years ago when the area was made up of a few villas
dotted on the horizon; this area has grown in both popularity and vigor in
recent times, mainly due to the region being an over spill of Marbella and the
fact that it is easily accessed via the coastal N340.
Los Monteros is a luxurious and tranquil place whether by day or by night, found
just a few minutes east of central Marbella, most regions offer magnificent
views over the Mediterranean towards Africa and Gibraltar. The area boasts
golden beaches and three top class golf courses.
The Costa del Sol hospital is found just off the Los Monteros exit from the A7
(old N340) and it is well known for its high quality. The hospital overlooks
Santa Clara Golf course and a luxury urbanization. Los Monteros is only about 10
minutes from the English International College, which serves children at both
primary and secondary levels.
The Costa del Sol is aptly named – the sun makes an appearance almost every day
and temperatures range from a mild 8ºC in the winter to a very pleasant 30ºC in
the summer, consequently outdoor activities play a huge part in our lives, from
the more energetic pursuits such as sailing, swimming and golf to the very
popular relaxing pastime of eating and drinking!
