Torre Blanca is an urbanised district that is located on the outskirts of the
popular resort town of
Fuengirola. Most of the luxurious villas and apartments
in this area enjoy spectacular views of the sea and the mountainous landscapes
of the region. It is a tranquil setting that is with walking distance of
Fuengirola and a short drive from
Marbella and
Mijas.
Major Tourist Attractions
Sport plays a major part in the region and Torre Blanca offers the opportunity
to experience some of the best golf courses, tennis courts and gyms. There are
also several swimming pools for the residents and visitors to enjoy. Walkers,
hikers and mountain bikers can take to the mountainous surroundings and stop to
take in the stunning views. A short journey will take you to some wonderful
shorelines where you can sit in the sun or take part in water sports. Nearby is
the town of Mijas which has a water park, a small museum and a bullring.
Fuengirola has a myriad of attractions including a water park with many slides,
a zoo which houses animals in their natural habitats and a multiplex cinema. A
car ride to Marbella offers the chance to sit in some lovely parks and squares
to do some people watching.
Shopping Opportunities
There are several small local shops in the immediate area of Torre Blanca which
will provide you with all the holiday essentials such as sunglasses, beach wear
and hats. Fuengirola has the Miramar shopping centre which is bursting with
shops to keep shopaholics happy. You can buy items such as ceramics, pottery,
art, electrical items, shoes, handbags, leather goods, jewellery and watches.
There are also several small boutiques and local shops dotted around the
streets. On the outskirts of Fuengirola there is a recently built El Cortes
Ingles department store. The Golden Mile in Marbella is within easy reach
and is famed for its expensive clothing shops and boutiques.
Puerto Banus on the west
side of Marbella has a shopping centre and designer outlets near the marina.
Eating Out and Nightlife
The district has several cafés and restaurants for you to choose from for dining
out. The menus offer Tapas and other Spanish staples as well as a selection of
cuisine from other countries. Fuengirola has a myriad of bars, cafés and
restaurants for you to savour and has an abundance of different dishes to suit
