San Martin del Tesorillo is a small village located approximately 11 kilometres
north-west of Puerto du la Duquesa in the Costa del Sol region of Spain. It is a
quiet location with many studio apartments, townhouses and villas that offer
spectacular countryside views. The economy of the village is predominantly the
growing of oranges and there are many groves and orchards surrounding this
peaceful and traditional village.
Main Tourist Attractions
Golf is widely available in the immediate area of this sleepy town.
Sotogrande has its own golfing academy and several challenging 18 hole
courses. Other sporting facilities available include polo, horse riding, tennis
and badminton. San Martin del Tesorillo is the perfect base from which to go
walking, mountain biking, rock climbing or trekking in the mountainous terrain
of the area. Beaches can be found in nearby
Sabinillas and a visit to Tarifa Beach is a must. History enthusiasts can
take the short drive to the village of
Manilva to experience ruins of an aqueduct and Roman sulphur baths, which
reputedly had one Julius Caesar among its visitors.

residents and visitors. You will find a small amount of family run shops that

bargains in the colourful bazaars.
Eating out and Nightlife

typical Spanish dishes, including the stale Tapas, and a selection on
international favourites. Sotogrande and Puerto du la Duquesa have some upmarket
restaurants for that special evening out.
