The urbanised area of El Rosario is situated between the
Santa Clara and
Cabopino areas of
Marbella in the Costa del Sol. It is also directly across from
the seaside community of
Elviria and looks out over the sea from the hillside.
Many of the luxurious villas are located on the steep hillsides and give
panoramic views of the area.

There are several well known golf courses in the surrounding area. Other sports

with a range of watersports. With the proximity to the mountain range located at
the back of Marbella, El Rosario is also a great base for those who love
walking, mountain biking and hiking. Nearby
Puerto Banus has a lot to offer
including more beaches, a multiplex cinema and a marine observatory. Marbella
centre is also a short distance away and offers attractions such as parks,
quaint squares and 16th century architecture.
Shopping Opportunities
The development has a few shops which cater for the holiday essentials for
tourists and everyday essentials for residents. These shops will provide items
such as swimwear, sunglasses, toys, clothing, footwear and souvenirs. There are
also a few supermarkets catering for different tastes located in the area.
Nearby Elviria has family-run boutiques and shops offering local arts & crafts
as well as authentic Spanish designer clothing. There are two shopping centres
where you can purchase items such as jewellery, perfume, clothing, handbags,
leather goods, shoes, toys, pottery, ceramics and souvenirs. There is a local
fruit and vegetable market held here every Friday. For serious shopaholics La
Canada shopping centre with over 150 shops and the Marbella Golden Mile are only
a short journey away.
Eating out and Nightlife
El Rosario has a few bars, restaurants and cafés located onsite and one of the
most popular evening venues is the restaurant in El Casco Tennis Club. The
establishments offer a wide variety of meals including authentic Spanish dishes
and some international cuisine.
The nightlife of El Rosario is usually low key but there are a few bars which
have live entertainment and music for visitors to enjoy. For a more vibrant and
buzzing scene, a short journey to Marbella or Puerto Banus will have you dancing
until the early hours. Puerto Banus also offers the chance to win some money in
its casino.
