El Paraiso is an urbanised area located in the west of
Marbella in the Costa del
Sol. It is approximately 10 minutes drive from the centre of Marbella and is
essentially a microcosm; it has all the amenities and facilities that resident

hardware. Puerto Banus also has an El Cortes Ingles department store and a
market which is held every Saturday. If you fancy travelling into the heart of
Marbella you will find the famous Golden Mile with its range of designer fashion
houses and exclusive boutiques.
Eating out and Nightlife
The El Paraiso district has many restaurants and the one in the Country Club is
very popular. You will find the usual traditional Spanish fare including
tortillas and Tapas in the restaurants and cafés, as well as a variety of
international cuisine including French, Italian and British.
There are no discos or nightclubs within this prestigious area as the focus is
on having a calming and relaxing time. Evenings are typically spent strolling
through the area and ending the evening with some delicious food, fine local
wine and chats with the friendly locals. If you are looking for a lively evening
that includes discos and nightclubs, the marina at nearby Puerto Banus is the
place to go.
