El Faro 

El Faro is an urbanised area located between Marbella and Fuengirola. It is a lively area that is within walking distance of many major attractions and a short trip from Puerto Banus. Major Tourist Attractions

El Faro is perfectly located to enjoy many sporting activities. As well as tennis, volleyball, squash, swimming and badminton, visitors can enjoy one of the many surrounding golf courses. The El Faro area has its own beach which is small but perfectly formed. It has shelter from the artificial dock and is a perfect place to relax with the children. It is uncrowded but offers a small range of water based activities to enjoy. Marbella also has Funny Beach, an establishment that has go-karting and trampolining as well as boat rides for the children. The Old Town of Marbella is great for strolling around and has several green areas and squares to sit for a break. Nearby Puerto Banus has a large marina to spot the yachts of the rich and famous. There is also a marine observatory and a multiplex cinema. Fuengirola offers a water park and an open air zoo.

Shopping Opportunities

El Faro has a few shops where you can buy the holiday essentials that you need every day. Fuengirola has many stores located in the Miramar shopping centre. There is also an El Cortes Ingles department store on the outskirts of the resort. Marbella is full of shopping opportunities from the local family businesses in the Old Town, to the chic and fashionable outlets of the Golden Mile. Shopaholics will really love browsing the fashion houses and expensive stores located here. You can buy many items including watches, jewellery, designer label clothing and perfume. There are also plenty of opportunities to pick up that perfect souvenir. Puerto Banus also has a large commercial shopping centre and several interesting shops located by the marina.

Eating Out and Nightlife

There are several bars, cafés and restaurants within 5 minutes walking of the villas and apartment s at El Faro. Here you will find a selection of menus offering the typical Spanish dishes with some international favourites. A broad selection of Spanish wines and beers are available. Fuengirola has a mix of cafés and restaurants that cater for all tastes. There are even a few fast food outlets.

Nightlife is limited in the El Faro area. Serious partygoers can take a short trip to Fuengirola for a chance to experience the various bars, nightclubs and discos.
