The resort has its own activities available which include tennis, swimming and
lawn bowls. Visitors can take a five minute walk to the beach where they can
unwind or participate in water sports including jet skiing and diving. Not
forgetting the golfers; the stunning 18 hole course at
El Paraiso is a short
trip away. Nearby San Pedro is a delight for those who love their history. There
is a 3rd century Roman bath house and a 6th century basilica, which has a
necropolis and two hundred tombs. Estepona is home to a bullring with four
museums attached. When not being used for fighting, there are concerts held for
everyone to enjoy.
Shopping Opportunities
The resort has its own supermarket but shopaholics will have to look a bit
further afield. You will find some family-run businesses in San Pedro where you
can buy a small range of clothing, jewellery, art, pottery and souvenirs. Take a
trip to Estepona to enjoy its two distinct shopping areas, the Calle Terraza and
the Calle Real. Here you will find boutiques and shops selling clothing, shoes,
bags, leather goods, electrical goods, perfume, jewellery, arts & crafts,
souvenirs and linen. A short drive takes you to the shopper’s paradise in
Marbella, the Golden Mile.
Eating Out and Nightlife
Benavista has its own restaurants and bars where you can enjoy a range of
cuisine from countries including America, Britain and Italy. Of course, there
are the many beautiful Spanish dishes and Tapas on offer, along with a selection
of fine wines. Estepona has a range of bars, cafés and restaurants to choose
from, as does nearby
Puerto Banus.
Evenings are a reserved affair in Benavista and there are no nightclubs or
discos. Estepona’s bars provide music entertainment and there are a few
establishments that are open until late. Marbella and Puerto Banus also offer
the opportunity to dance into the early hours of the next morning. A casino is
located at Puerto Banus where you can try your luck against the house.
