If you have never visited Benalmadena on the Costa Del Sol, then it is about
time you made the effort! It is located a short drive from Malaga, so it is easy
to reach by bus or hire car and if you are staying in the area then it is well
worth taking a day trip or longer to explore what the town has to offer.
If you have kids there will be plenty to keep them entertained as it has an
amusement park and a
sea life centre where you can feed the stingrays and watch
sharks overhead in the glass tunnel. There is also a huge marina where the
children can wonder at the dolphins and penguins.
If that was not enough then there is also an
Benalmadena ice rink
which will make a welcome
change from the heat of the Spanish sun and a whole host of boat trips which
leave from the harbour where there is a good chance of catching sight of
dolphins in the wild.
For some spectacular scenery there is also a cable car ride which takes you up
over seven hundred metres to the top of a Mount Calamorro, where you can even
see the North African coast on a good day – not for the faint-hearted!
Kids and adults alike there is plenty to keep you occupied on a trip to
Benalmadena.
