Benalmadena Costa is a section of the popular tourist town of
Benalmadena in the
Costa del Sol region of Spain. It is a purpose built resort which is very
popular with British tourists. The Costa resort stretches for 8 kilometres,
along the coast, which then climbs steeply up into the beautiful mountains. Benalmadena Costa is considered to be the most cosmopolitan of the three areas
that make up Benalmadena. The Costa part is separated from
Arroyo de la Miel by
La Paloma Park.

As the resort is based along the coast there are magnificent beaches for the
whole family to enjoy. The beaches of Benalmadena have been awarded Blue Flag
status for their cleanliness. There are many watersports and diving facilities
to be found along the beaches. At the marina in Benalmadena Costa there is the
sealife centre. It has large tanks and tunnels which makes it an excellent
choice for kids. There is a stingray pool which is a popular feature and
visitors can even feed some of the fish. Benalmadena Costa also caters for
golfers with a golf course, various leisure and sport facilities.

Benalmadena Costa is home to the Puerto Marina which not only houses bars,
restaurants and nightclubs, but a whole range of shopping facilities. You will
find the Puerto Marina shopping centre that caters for everyday essentials, as
well as specialist boutiques and family run businesses. It is a great place to
find those souvenirs to take home after your trip. There is also an art gallery
where you can buy beautiful pictures and paintings produced by local artists.
Eating out and Nightlife
As this area was built as a resort it has a myriad of cafés, bars and
restaurants for tourists to enjoy. There is an eclectic mix of English,
Scottish, Irish, Chinese, and of course, Spanish places to eat and drink.

Full English Breakfast, many English restaurants will cater for your craving.
The marina at Benalmadena Costa is the social hub of the resort. It has many
restaurants, discos and nightclubs and is renowned for being the vibrant and
buzzing area of the resort. There is also a casino situated in Benalmadena Costa
to while away the hours until the early morning. As this area has the hotels in
close proximity, it is full of people dancing the night away.
